We are running 2 Bscra class championships in 2016.

1/32 Falcon on the smaller Parkway track.

This was decided after testing the cars on this track and finding them so exciting to drive.

1/24th Falcon Sports on the Raceway Track.

1/24th  Production Cars

This class is raced on the larger of our two tracks. The obvious difference in the cars is that they are 1/24th scale not 1/32nd as are the other two championship classes, they use metal chassis, sponge tyres and thin lexan (lightweight plastic) bodies. BSCRA cars are generally sold as parts so unlike the NSR cars you only need buy the parts that you need.

For club racing these cars can be assembled for around £55. We also have pre-owened cars available for £25. This may surprise some people as it is a popular misconception that all BSCRA cars cost several hundred pounds. The fact is that at National and World level then yes the cars can cost up to £400 with £250 motors. The cars we use at the club use 47000 rpm Falcon motors which cost less than £10.

The Cars

The cars are 1/32nd and 1/24th production chassis with either Hawk or Falcon motors each of which rev to 47K.

Race Format

Doors open at 7.00pm and practice is till 08:00. Qualifying is one minute on the lane of choice will total number of laps to count. After qualifying drivers are put into groups of 4 drivers who then race on each lane for 3mins. The total laps for the 4 runs count. The winner can come from any group.
