With Brian and Dave now on holiday Mark made his first visit of the year after a busy start to the year at work prevented him coming. Martin was stuck at work, but Malcolm returned after a week off with a cold. Chris A, Chris T and Graham arrived from the previous week to make 5 for the nights racing.
Class 1—1/32nd F1
Mark not yet having a F1 sat out the first class, which left just 4. With each driver getting two heats, Graham top qualified by 0.25 in front of Chris T. Chris A out qualified Malcolm for the B Final. Malcolm reversed the qualifying to beat Chris A by just under a lap to move into the A final. The A Final saw Chris T and Graham run side by side for 2 1/2 mins, with Chris falling off, and couldn't quite catch Graham. Malcolm struggled on Red lane, getting lapped 3 times.

Class 2—1/24th Sports
Everyone apart from Mark, hit the 10 laps + in qualifying, with Chris T setting 10.95 to T.Q. Malcolm, Chris A and Mark had an off’s in qualifying so made up the B group. Chris A recorded 31 in segment 1 to lead from Mark on 30. Malcolm struggled on Red with 28, running in a new motor, which slowly got faster. Malcolm improved to 29 on blue, with Chris only recording 30 on the slower red lane. Mark had a few offs on yellow to record 29. Back to white and Mark recorded 30. Chris now on the faster blue recorded nearly 32 to extend his lead over Mark to 4 laps. Malcolm recorded only 26 on yellow after the body got tucked in. Chris recorded another big 31 to finish on 125.50, beating Mark by nearly 7 laps after Mark recorded only 28 on Red. Malcolm finished with a 30 on white, with the new motor running in nicely, 4 laps down on Mark.
Into the A group, Chris T pulled Graham round with both doing 32's in segment 1, so via the prognosis was ok for first and second. Graham recorded a 31 on red, to stay ahead of Chris A score. Chris T recorded a 32 to take a lap out of Graham. Chris T continued to pull away from Graham to record another two 32's to win by just under 3 laps. Graham managed to beat Chris A's score, only by the virtue of not having any off's and a slightly better run on red.
So a win for Graham and Chris T, with Malcolm and Mark back hopefully Martin and James return next week with Dave and Brian still away.
