Many thanks to the 29 of you who came to the new Fylde premises on 19th April to race in the first round of the year's series. This was an excellent turn out particularly in the current economic climate and kicked the season off in great style.

With the wider choice of chassis and return to the integrated championship a few more opted to race super production in 1/32nd with 9 running them. With the top local drivers Super it is hard to say how well the falcons faired as these drivers would probably still have been top with falcons. However Chris Thomas managed to qualify 3rd & Graeme Stephenson 5th with a falcon. The meeting was a notable for the return after about 15 years to inter-club racing of local Pete Clarkson. He stunned many who did not know him by qualifying for the A final. In a fairly rare event I managed to TQ by a lap from Paul Shepherd but twice in a day was too much as Paul took a hard contested victory from me and Pete was a delighted 3^rd with Chris 4^th to take top Falcon points. Up and coming teenager Chris Green made the C Final to win Novice falcon by a large margin.

Chris Green continued his good form to complete a successful day in the Team Race by winning with Martin Ellis as the Hot Shots with a consistent run. Fastest segment of the day went to SPS (Pete Clarkson and Myself) – the car was probably the quickest when on the track but 2 separate big hits from de-slotted cars ripped off the body making 4^th spot a decent recovery. Martin Jackson and Graham Thomas got their campaign off too a a good start as second placed Aynuk and Ayli. SCD Roadhogs just held off SPS for 3^rd with Chas using his legendary ability to HOG a lane either side of him!!

It was good to see a number of juniors racing and well done to Katy, Elizabeth, Matthew Murray, Alex and Chris Green who along with everybody else I hope you enjoyed the day and will be back for more this season.
